INTERVIEW ON THE PRICE OF BUSINESS SHOW, MEDIA PARTNER OF THIS SITE.

Recently Kevin Price, Host of the nationally syndicated Price of Business Show, interviewed Jeremy Murphy.

On a recent Price of Business show, Host Kevin Price interviews former CBS TV Vice President, Jeremy Murphy.

In this discussion, former CBS VP Jeremy Murphy breaks down two recent marketing blunders by prominent brands that highlight an astonishing disconnect between corporate decision-makers and modern cultural sensitivities. The first instance involves a co-branded driver commercial by Callaway and Good Good Golf depicting a male golfer tackling a woman to the ground for touching his club, an ad criticized for making light of domestic violence. The second case involves Target marketing a controversial Halloween costume featuring minstrel-esque blackface imagery that evoked Jim Crow-era racial caricatures. Murphy emphasizes that while seasonal retail buying often slips through junior-level cracks, multi-tiered corporate productions—especially involving high-budget ad campaigns—require extensive layers of review, making it alarming how such tone-deaf concepts received final approval.

According to a statement, “Jeremy Murphy is a sarcastic, embittered veteran of the media industry. Founder of 360bespoke, a respected boutique PR agency in New York, Murphy handles a full roster of clients in the lifestyle, beauty, fashion, and start-up fields. Previously, he was Vice President of Communications at CBS, where he worked for 14 years. There, he oversaw PR for many of its divisions and created its glossy magazine Watch. Murphy started as a journalist, working with Knight Ridder newspapers and Mediaweek. He is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University and lives in New York with his cat, Champers.”
