Current Student Workarounds: Around 7% of students already manage to graduate in three years by utilizing dual-enrollment credits in high school, summer courses at community colleges, and Advanced Placement (AP) credits.
Employment vs. Graduate School Acceptance: While surveyed employers express willingness to hire graduates with three-year degrees, graduate school admissions offices are currently hesitant, though this perspective may shift as programs mature.
A “Buyer’s Market” for Higher Education: Higher education is increasingly becoming a buyer’s market, where students have more options and leverage—including negotiating better financial aid packages.
