The NiaLena Caravasos Commentaries

On a recent Price of Business show, Host Kevin Price interviewed NiaLena Caravasos.

Unlike most of her colleagues who practice federal criminal defense and white collar crime, NiaLena Caravasos has a very holistic approach to her practice. Practicing in the federal courts since 1997, NiaLena keeps it real with her clients and employs tough love in order to help them. But she also sees that many times they are victims themselves, victims of circumstances in their lives. It is this unique perspective that results in NiaLena employing a holistic approach to her representation so that she can help the whole person with their underlying issues, as opposed to just the obvious, so that they can repair their vulnerabilities and return to good lives. In this show, NiaLena discusses an example of one such client whom she is currently representing and his journey.

NiaLena Caravasos is a nationally recognized federal criminal defense and white collar crime lawyer in Philadelphia.
Focusing her practice on Federal Criminal Defense and White Collar Crime, NiaLena is the only Philadelphia criminal defense attorney to be featured twice on the Super Lawyers cover – once in the Philadelphia Magazine and in a cover story entitled “Fierce” and again on the cover and cover story of the 20th Anniversary Super Lawyers edition. She has been repeatedly recognized in the Top 100 and Top 50 Women Super Lawyers lists and was also featured on the cover and cover story of CIO Women Magazine as a “Pioneer of Female Leadership in Male-Dominated Criminal Defense.” NiaLena is also one of only two U.S. lawyers honored by the international nonprofit project “Inspirational People” that focuses on featuring accomplished individuals around the world who practice their professions in a manner that is believed to be inspirational to young people. Early on in her career, NiaLena earned her reputation for being unafraid to break ranks with “the old-boy network” that began with her representation of Frank Gambino in the Merlino mob trial and continues to this day with her strategic and uniquely holistic focus in restoring her clients to good lives. As a Wharton graduate with experience in international business, NiaLena is uniquely positioned to relate personally to the challenges facing her federal white collar defendants.
