Democrats Have No Viable Option Besides Biden

Recently Kevin Price, Host of the nationally syndicated Price of Business Show, interviewed filmmaker Warren D. Robinson (image below).
President Joe Biden is facing heavy pressure from within his party to drop out of the 2024 Presidential election. Citing his dismal debate performance and age many Democrats fear not only can he not beat Donald Trump but he could also cost them the Senate, House or both in the upcoming election. “I think democrats have no other choice but to ride this out with Biden.” Says attorney, entertainment executive and producer Warren D. Robinson, “The calendar is not on their side. Ballot deadlines plus early voting that starts in some states as early as September really puts Democrats in a tough position to change out nominees at this point.” Robinson believes if Democrats do replace Biden they have no choice but to go with Vice-President Kamala Harris at the top of the ticket. “I don’t see how you pass her up for a number of reasons. One, she has name ID and with roughly two months or less before the start of early voting you’re going to need that; Second, the optics of bypassing the first African-American female vice-president for what will most likely be a White male (or female) is not going to go over well with African-American voters, the largest voting block in the Democratic party; Third, she can legally take over all the election accounts (and the many millions inside them) already pledged to Biden since they are earmarked for Biden and Harris.” Robinson fears Harris may not be a better choice than Biden. “She provides youth and is extremely intelligent but she’s also highly unlikable and polls worse than Biden in a number of states. Ultimately, in my opinion there are no democrats with high enough name recognition, likeability and campaign cash to successfully defeat Donald Trump, this late in the game except Joe Biden. As the old saying goes, sometimes you have to dance with the one that brought you.”
According to a statement, “Entertainment executive and producer, Warren D. Robinson believes that when organizations are willing to have open and honest conversations about race and their own bias they can commit to meaningful change. We have seen this recently in the form of Hollywood award shows, particularly, the Grammys and the Academy Awards (Oscars). The Recording Academy and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences have both taken concrete steps to diversify their ranks and address inherit biases in their voting processes. As a result we have the most diverse crop of award winners/nominees, respectively, we’ve ever seen. Contrast that with the scandal and production shutdown currently at CBS’s The Talk, which resulted because a co-host was unable to properly engage in a conversation about race, address her own bias and commit to doing better. ‘The key part to every conversation’ Warren says, ‘starts with listening. Listening and hearing are different and if you are unable to listen then you are unable to have a conversation.’
