Famed Watergate Attorney Discusses Trump Impeachment Trial with Kevin Price

“Prior to private practice, Nick served as a federal prosecutor as well as a member of the Watergate prosecution team. He was an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of New York, where he prosecuted a wide array of white collar criminal matters, including bank frauds, stock frauds, complex financial frauds, environmental and tax crimes. Nick served as an Assistant Special Watergate Prosecutor with the Watergate Special Prosecution Force under Archibald Cox and Leon Jaworski.”

After the interview Price said “few understand impeachment better than Akerman,” even though the two disagreed on the politics. Price said, Akerman’s clear ideological preference “made it difficult for the attorney to see the mistakes the Democrats have made. There is no doubt that the President is responsible for his current situation; but there is also no doubt the Democrats’ tactics are going to lead to failure.”
