INTERVIEW ON THE PRICE OF BUSINESS SHOW, MEDIA PARTNER OF THIS SITE.

Recently Kevin Price, Host of the nationally syndicated Price of Business Show, interviewed Nicole Wipp.

On a recent Price of Business show, Host Kevin Price interviewed Nicole Wipp, Principal & Founder of the Family & Aging Law Center.  Nicole is an experienced estate planning and elder law attorney with offices in Michigan and Hawaii. You can find her at MiEstateLawyer.com.
They discussed:
  • What the Murdoch case was all about (Rupert and Lachlan sued to get control of an irrevocable trust set up as part of Rupert’s divorce agreement with his prior wife and mother of his children)
  • What was the result of the case (initially the court denied the claim, eventually settled OUT of court)
  • Even though these are wildly wealthy people, there are lessons for everyday people as well, such as: kids will fight even if you think they won’t, having anti-contest clauses will help avoid litigation of this nature, as most courts will honor these, having a clear, well written estate plan is essential for everyone, because even people with small amounts of money want to fight, having estate plans as part of a divorce decree can go a long way to avoiding post-divorce litigation, but these should not be written by family law attorneys but attorneys experinced in estate matters.)
