INTERVIEW ON THE PRICE OF BUSINESS SHOW, MEDIA PARTNER OF THIS SITE.

Recently Kevin Price, Host of the nationally syndicated Price of Business Show, interviewed Jeremy Murphy.

Price and Murphy look at the bizarre situation facing former President Donald Trump fraud case.

In 2022, New York Attorney General Letitia James filed a civil suit against former President Trump, his adult sons, and his former aide Allen Weisselberg. The suit alleged a scheme where Trump fraudulently reported property values to reduce taxes or improve loan terms, inflating his net worth.Justice Arthur Engoron ruled on February 16, 2024, that Trump must pay $355 million plus interest, representing his ill-gotten gains. This followed a previous ruling in September 2023, where the judge deemed many of the defendants’ claims fraudulent without the need for a trial. While significant, the fraud case is just one of many legal battles for Trump. The penalty, larger than he can easily pay, includes a three-year ban on operating his company. Trump has appealed the case and has until late March to pay the penalty or obtain a bond for it.

They discussed the fact that it appears has plenty of ability to navigate this issue, but he hasn’t figured it out. He faces compounded interest penalties, the potential seizure of properties, and more.

According to a statement, “Jeremy Murphy is a sarcastic, embittered veteran of the media industry. Founder of 360bespoke, a respected boutique PR agency in New York, Murphy handles a full roster of clients in the lifestyle, beauty, fashion, and start-up fields. Previously, he was Vice President of Communications at CBS, where he worked for 14 years. There, he oversaw PR for many of its divisions and created its glossy magazine Watch. Murphy started as a journalist, working with Knight Ridder newspapers and Mediaweek. He is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University and lives in New York with his cat, Champers.”
