What Kind of Romantic Partner is the INTJ?

If you like tons of autonomy, they are the bomb! But I mean lots of it. INTJs love time alone. In fact, they love time with themselves more than any other type (with the possible exception of the INTP).
Great connections for the INTJ are ENFP (who are very independent in their own unique way) and the ENTP (the “exact opposite” in the two areas that make the best complement).
I also think an INFP and the almost too similar INFJ, could be good partners.
But if the INTJ is immature, good luck, regardless of the type. Relationship requires communication about emotions, and INTJs have to work VERY hard to get to that place.
As an INTJ, I suggest dating a LONG time before committing to one. Explore tons of areas. See how communications go. If you are looking for drama, they don’t want it. If you are looking for small talk, good luck. Like gossip? Find a friend who does too! Want to be with someone every free moment? Move on. If you are not very secure with yourself, the INTJ will not prop you up for long. If you are looking for empty compliments — not the brutally honest (though diplomatic, when mature) INTJ.
