Woody Harrelson and Mike Pence were College Chums

Mike Pence has been the poster child of religion, pretty much his whole life, according to Woody Harrelson.  Harrelson and the future Vice President of the United States both went to Hanover College.  That school is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church.  It is a small college (around 1,000 students) and they both — surprisingly — ran around in similar circles.  When Harrelson first entered college, he was among the strongly religious crowd.  In fact, Harrelson was there on a “Presbyterian scholarship.”  Things changed for Harrelson, but not for Pence, who remains very passionate about religion to this day.

Did Harrelson like Pence?  “Yes,” the actor told Jimmy Kimmel during a recent interview.  Quite a bit, in fact.  Would they still be friends today?  Hard to say, Harrelson concedes, considering how different the two men’s views on religion are today.    However, he definitely thought Pence was a good guy when they attended college together all those years ago.  Here’s what he had to say to Kimmel about the Vice President:
