Recently, I had the opportunity to participate in a panel discussion on long-term care planning at a local retirement community. Here’s some of what we heard: eople in their 70s who hadn’t reviewed their legal documents in years — and didn’t realize how much had changed. People who had Long Term Care Insurance but weren’t sure when or how to trigger their benefits. Adult children trying to figure out how to pay for a parent’s care with no plan in place. And two attendees — ages 74 and 75 — who asked whether it was too late to get coverage. My message: the only foolish question is the one not asked.
