House Leaders: Obamacare Repeal is on Track
By USABR.
VIEW ONLINE | Today, at a press conference on Capitol Hill, Ways and Means Committee Chairman Kevin Brady (R-TX) and Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Greg Walden (R-OR) joined members of House Republican leadership to talk about the next steps we’re taking on our Republican plan to repeal Obamacare and replace it with a 21st Century health system that puts people back in control of their health care.
The takeaway? We’re on track.
As Chairman Brady says, “At the ways and means committee, we’re working on solutions that will… provide relief to hardworking families that have been damaged by the Obamacare taxes, the penalties, and the mandates. We’re going to provide Americans, especially middle class families who’ve been left behind by Obamacare, with the freedom to buy a health care plan that’s right for them, and not what’s right for Washington.”
And Republicans aren’t going to make the same mistakes Democrats did. We’re going to do this right: step-by-step, with input from everyone.
Says Chairman Walden, “Health care is very important to all Americans. We want to get it right. We’ve been taking our time to do that … you’re going to see us come forward with a replacement … that makes sure that people have access to affordable health care for the first time.”
