How to Work While Going to School
Whether you’re in college or high school, it takes up a lot of time, and it can be frustrating. When so much time of day is spent at school, it makes it hard to find time to have a job and earn money. For high schoolers, this means that they might not have enough money to spend on date nights and dances, gas money, their first car, or an outing with friends. For college students, it may get a little more serious, with bills, school fees, and food that they need to pay for. Needless to say, work is important. But if you do it right, it can actually be fairly easy to work and go to school!
High School
High school has its pros and cons compared to college when it comes to work. For example, high school may take up more hours than college in a day, which makes it seem like you have less time to actually work, but the best part is the set schedule. Unless you participate in a lot of extracurricular activities, you more than likely have the same schedule every weekday, and have the weekend off. This makes it easy to schedule time with employers, since there will always be times when you know you’re available.
College
When it comes to college, you might need to switch it up a little. While college classes may take up less hours of the day than high school, the scheduling is often weird. You have have classes in the morning, afternoon, and nighttime. You could also have a bunch of classes all at once, but with an hour between each one. This gives you a lot of little chunks of time that are hard to work with. So it’s often easier to do online schooling and give yourself time to be flexible with your school schedule. Having a normal, set work schedule and doing school in your free time is a lot like the inverse of the high school work/school setup.
