New findings from Zanda Health’s State of AI Adoption in Allied Health 2026 report, which surveyed 682 allied health professionals about how artificial intelligence is changing healthcare.
The research found that 70% of respondents have encountered clients referencing AI-generated health information, while more than one in three reported having their professional judgment challenged by clients using AI.
Jessica explored what these findings mean for the future of patient-provider relationships, including how AI is influencing patient expectations, creating new challenges around trust, and changing conversations in the consultation room.
The discussion also examined how healthcare professionals can respond when patients arrive with AI-generated advice, and why maintaining human expertise remains essential as AI becomes more common in healthcare.
