Tragically MBTI is not based on intelligence. Even though the statistics show that the INTJ (which is what I am) and the INTP generally have the highest IQs, academic intelligence is only one measure. Furthermore, neither type has cornered the market on intelligence.

Between the two mentioned (INTJ and INFJ), I have found both to have many highly intelligent people in their ranks. However, the basis for their intelligence is different. Whereas the IQ of an INTJ can be off the chart, they can be like deer looking at headlights when it comes to emotional intelligence. In the real world, emotional intelligence (EQ) is every bit as or more important than IQ. Most INFJs I know have tremendous emotional intelligence. They are able to easily navigate the personality types and know how to deal with them extremely well.
