When Yagmur Simsek moved to London, she noticed a persistent gap in the digital marketing landscape: the rooms that mattered most were often closed off. Larger industry conferences were expensive, impersonal, and rarely made space for emerging voices or professionals outside established networks.
What began in 2023 as an accidental series of intimate networking dinners quickly revealed a deeper industry need. Digital marketing professionals were hungry for accessible, genuinely inclusive spaces where they could connect without traditional barriers.
Today, Search ’n Stuff has grown from those initial dinners into an international community and events platform championing accessible networking for marketers worldwide.
From Small Dinners to Emirates Stadium
The growth of Search ’n Stuff has been driven by a community-first approach. Its recent flagship conference at London’s Emirates Stadium brought together more than 130 professionals from across the globe, alongside industry leaders including Aleyda Solís, Lily Ray, Areej AbuAli, Navah Hopkins, Ayisha Yousef, Lazarina Stoy, and Chima Mmje.
Yet, for Simsek, the true value of the event lay beyond the stage.
“The real value was not only the stage—it was the conversations happening around it,” says Simsek. “We deliberately keep our rooms the right size, so a first-time attendee can end up in a genuine conversation with someone whose work they have admired for years.”
To ensure financial barriers do not dictate participation, the platform integrates scholarship and accessible-ticket initiatives into its event model. In an industry undergoing rapid transformation—driven by continuous AI developments in search—having a trusted network to navigate these changes alongside peers has become a key priority for attendees.
Expanding Globally: The Next Chapter
Having established a strong foundation in the UK, Search ’n Stuff is transitioning from a series of standalone gatherings into a sustained international network.
The organization’s upcoming initiatives focus on expanding both geographic reach and community recognition:
- International Gatherings: Expanding event footprints into new global regions, bringing the same community-focused atmosphere to broader audiences.
- Industry Recognition: Launching the Search ’n Stuff Awards to highlight individual contributors and technological innovations within digital marketing.
- Accessibility Programs: Scaling up scholarship opportunities and tier-based ticketing across all future events.
- Diverse Event Formats: Experimenting with local networking dinners, specialized search retreats, and regional gatherings across multiple cities.
As the search industry continues to evolve, Search ’n Stuff remains focused on its core objective: building welcoming, transparent, and high-value spaces for digital marketers, regardless of where they are located.
imary inspiration or specific problem that led to this development?
When I moved to London and looked closely at the digital marketing industry, I kept noticing the same thing: the rooms that mattered were often closed ones. The larger conferences could be expensive and impersonal, and they rarely made space for newer voices or for people outside the usual circles. I started Search ’n Stuff in 2023 almost by accident — a handful of small networking dinners with people I wanted to learn from and connect. What became clear very quickly was how hungry our industry was for something more accessible and genuinely inclusive. That gap — between the scale of the events on offer and the sense of belonging people actually wanted — is what led us here. Our recent flagship conference at Emirates Stadium and our international expansion were never the goal in themselves; they are what happens when you focus on building the right room and let the community lead.
What is the most significant impact or benefit this announcement brings to your target audience right now?
For our audience right now, the biggest benefit is access — to people, to ideas, and to opportunities that were previously gated. At Emirates Stadium we brought together more than 130 professionals from around the world alongside speakers such as Aleyda Solís, Lily Ray, Areej AbuAli, Navah Hopkins, Ayisha Yousef, lazarina Stoy, Chima Mmje but the real value was not only the stage — it was the conversations happening around it. We deliberately keep our rooms the right size, so a first-time attendee can end up in a genuine conversation with someone whose work they have admired for years. Alongside that, our scholarship and accessible-ticket initiatives mean cost does not decide who gets to be in the room. In an industry changing as fast as ours, where AI is reshaping how search works almost month to month, having a trusted community to learn with — not just learn from — is the most valuable thing we can offer people today.
Looking ahead, what is the next major step or goal for your organization following this news?
Our focus now is turning a series of great events into a lasting international community. The next milestone is Search ’n Stuff Antalya 2026, a multi-day conference that brings the same spirit to a bigger, global stage. We are also launching the Search ’n Stuff Awards to recognise the people and the innovation moving our industry forward, and expanding our scholarship and accessible-ticket programmes so the community keeps growing on inclusive terms. Beyond that, we will keep experimenting — smaller networking dinners, industry gatherings, search retreats, and new event formats in more cities. The long-term goal has never changed: to build the most trusted and welcoming space in search and digital marketing, wherever in the world our people happen to be.
