3 of the Best League of Legends Players
It’s hard to believe that we’ve seen over a decade of professional League of Legends play. What we’ve learned along the way is that to be a success here you need the highest levels of dedication. Yes, there is money to be made from playing video games, but it takes incredible skills to be ranked amongst some of the very best players.
Fans of esports have aligned themselves to their favourite players and teams. When it comes to esports betting, these fans will always show loyalty to their teams in the same way that football fans do.
It’s always interesting to look at the greats in esports and to establish what made them stand out. Are they naturally gifted or is it just about the hours and hours that they put into their training? Whichever it may be down to, here’s a look at who we believe are the very best players of League of Legends.
Lee Sang-hyeok
Known as ‘Faker’ Sang-hyeok is, without doubt, the most talented League of Legends player that the world has ever seen. When you look back to 2013, he started his professional playing career in the February. Some 7 months later and he was already the World Champion. With more titles to his name since he is simply the very best League of Legends competitor.
What’s great about Faker is his level of consistency. There have been players who have neared his levels but they’ve never managed to sustain it. Faker achieves every time that he plays and maintains the highest levels of skill. Despite years of success, Faker is still going strong and is likely to be part of the League of Legends scene for years to come.
Cho Se-hyeong
Going by the name ‘Mata’, Se-hyeong entered the scene in 2013 at around the same time as Faker was making his debut. There must have been something in the air during the spring of 2013 as Mata has also proven himself to be another of the greats when it comes to League of Legends. What saw him taking his name in the history books was his 2014 World Championship win with Samsung White.
What made Mata stand out from some of the other League of Legends players was that he made fans stop and re-examine the impact of supports on the game. While he could play enchanters as well as the next person, his real talents came to the fore with supports such as Rakan and Thresh.
Jian Zi-Hao
Zi-Hao goes by the name Uzi. What makes Uzi special is that he has never won a World championship. Why does that make him special? Well, quite simply he should have done and he is the greatest player never to take the crown.
Aside from the World championship, Uzi has taken every title going. He has shown himself to be a solid player and one that teammates thoroughly relies upon.
